Camille LaGuire was born and raised in Michigan.* Not the best place
for a screenwriter. That's probably why she started with fiction writing.
Aside from writing, she has run a horse farm, supervised playgrounds,
flipped burgers. She attended the Clarion Workshop. Studied English and
Humanities at Michigan State University. Taught fiction writing and computer
graphics.
But she's been a movie buff from that moment in fourth grade, when Mrs.
Romano darkened the lights and showed a collection of Keaton and Chaplin
two-reelers. Once the Movies get into your blood, it's all she wrote.
So now that's all Camille writes.

*Yeah, there IS a state between Chicago and Canada. It's big, wet, often
cold. We make cars, grow cherries and sing doo-wop. We've got a big bridge,
a big prison, Kelloggs and Michael Moore. (Sadly, we no longer have Oldsmobile,
may the Merry Auto rest in peace.) |
