Hello and Welcome to Camille LaGuire's author website. Always out of date! Always struggling to catch up!

*Subscribe to my New Publications Newsletter

To sign up, click here: Subscribe. (Then watch your email -- and spam filter -- for the confirmation email. You won't be subscribed until you answer it.)

I don't send out newsletters very often. (As a matter of fact, I have never sent one out -- but I will soon!) The newsletter will include brief news, and links to where you can read more, as well as occasional coupons for copies of my books for free or half off at Smashwords.

*Follow my blog, The Daring Novelist.

The best way to keep in touch with what I am doing is to watch my blog, The Daring Novelist. Not only do I update it more frequently than this site, you can talk back to me via comments if you like.

*Follow my podcast: Free Audio Fiction from Reading In The Attic!

Every other week, I read a story or excerpt of my own, or classic old fiction, or the occasional new author. I would love to hear from people about these performances -- you can leave a comment on the podcast blog, OR on my Daring Novelist blog. I'm not fussy.

Oh, and be sure to subscribe on iTunes if you like -- it's free, and it is the site where subscriptions make the most difference to the podcast's popularity.

*Follow me on Twitter

I am active on Twitter. Be warned, I don't do automatic follow-backs -- I usually wait a few weeks before even considering following back, because that keeps the active self-promoters out of my feed. I also don't read private messages, but I do respond to Twitter conversations.

I am generally active in a Friday morning chat under the hashtag #futurechat -- about publishing and books. And I retweet silly cat pictures, clever geek cartoons, and occasional mildly political stuff. (If you hate liberals, you're probably better off not following -- even though I try to keep politics to a minimum.)

*What I've Been Up To

As you see above, I have started a podcast. I was a film major and I love the technical aspects of sound production, and I'm really enjoying bringing the stories to life via performance. I hope to do a lot more with audio over the year, and get into narrating audiobooks.

I'm also writing some quick, old-school romantic suspense stories, to be published under a pen name. The pen name will not be a secret -- I'll let you know -- but I feel it will help tie these stories together.

Both the podcast and the romantic suspense stories are a way of diving back into my writing career, after a very bad personal year which kind of took me out of everything I've been doing. I hope to get back into the swing of writing more of everything else soon.
